How much is a membership?
For the 2025/26 academic year, a membership is £35. This will cover you for the entire academic year.
What do I get from the membership?
A membership gives you access to our annual Easter ski trip as well as access to attend weekly training sessions, socials and weekend events like Afterjam and Kings competitions.
When and where is training?
Training is every Tuesday evening at 5.30pm. Meet at the bus stop on Claremont Road opposite the Daysh building, ready for a coach to Silksworth Ski Slope in Sunderland, which is roughly a 30 minute drive away.
How do I book onto training?
Through the Coacha app - link is in @nusscnewcastle Instagram bio.
When are the Kings competitions?
There are four Kings competitions every year, and one 'Kings Finals' - dates TBC
How do I join a racing team?
Either pop us a DM on instagram or just turn up to training and get involved. There are opportunities to join a team before every competition.
How much ski experience do I need?
None! Whether you are a professional racer or have never touched a ski before, everyone is welcome at training and socials! We host beginner lessons during weekly training and encourage as many people to get involved!
Do I need to sign up for socials?
Nope! Just turn up! You will need to buy tickets for any clubbing events, for which discount links will be sent to the Telegram groupchat a week before.
How do I know the theme/location of the socials?
All socials will be posted on the Instagram and sent to the Telegram a week before. Costumes are compulsory!!!

Where and when can I collect merch?
If you have ordered from the online store, the pickup address is in Jesmond: TBC. DM us on Instagram or email to arrange a pick up time. Alternatively, we will be announcing pop up shops throughout the year where you can collect as well as buy more merch!
